Kate Carpenter, Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Vice President, discusses the consequences of inequitable access to healthy, safe, effective and affordable transport and how this impacts on physical and mental health and wellbeing; access to education; healthcare; economic activity; social activity and options for shopping and other services; 

Ranty Highwayman will also give us the low-down on side road zebras.

17-Mar: Jack Swain, CEO Recyke y’bike, bike refurbishing

Jack Swain, CEO of Recyke y’bike, a charity based in North East England, gives us insights into their work refurbishing donated bikes for resale to fund their outreach programme, workshops for bike repairs and training courses.

24-Mar: Kate Ball, Wheels for Wellbeing

Kate Ball, Campaigns and Policy Lead for Wheels for Wellbeing discusses the government mobility devices consultation. She will examine how current laws are stopping Disabled people from using active travel and will share ideas about the changes we need for equal pedestrian, cycling and cycling-equivalent mobility rights.

Mark Strong, Transport Initiatives, and Ben Coleman, Urban Movement, look at ‘Locally Contextualised + Wistful Inventory Plans’ and ask what have we learnt from nearly 10 years of LCWIPs?
